The area is full of exotic Western-style buildings that make you feel like you're back in the good old days.

  • Tin Toy Museum


    About 3,000 toys (which are mostly cars, rockets, and robots) manufactured in the 1890s and 1960s, collected by Mr. Kitahara, are on display.

  • Yokohama Foreigners Cemetary


    This place is a hilltop cemetery for foreigners and offers beautiful views of Yokohama Bay.


In this area, you can enjoy a typical view of the port city of Yokohama.

  • Marine Tower


    The Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 and once functioned as a lighthouse. It is now a symbol of Yokohama Port.

  • Hikawa-maru ship


    Hikawa Maru has been carrying passengers from overseas on voyages across the Pacific Ocean for 30 years.

  • Yokohama Doll House Museum


    The museum have more than 13,000 dolls and materials related to dolls in 141 countries around the world.


This area was once a settlement for foreigners. The exterior of the shops and houses on the street retains the appearance of the Meiji era as an era of civilization and enlightenment.

This is also the first place in history when ice cream was brought to Japan.

The bars and restaurants here retain the atmosphere of the time.

  • Yokohama Open Port Museum


    In this museum, historical materials of the Yokohama Port from the end of the Edo period to the Showa period are exhibited.


The MINATO-MIRAI 21 Area is the Bay area of Yokohama as the International Cultual City (see photo above).

This area, which has a beautiful contrast with the historic towns of Yamate and Kannai, has been developed as a leading information city in the 21st century.

  • Yokohama Museum of Art


    This large building, designed by famous Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, mainly displays important works of art from the 20th century.

  • Landmark Tower


    One of the most iconic place in Yokohama. Many people remind of the Landmark Tower when talk about Yokohama.


One of the most popular place for women and girls. It is said that Hamatra fashion, which stands for Yokohama Traditional, was originated from Motomachi. There are many brands and well-established stores that have been loved for many years.


Shin-Yokohama is a big city that has the station where the Japanese Shinkansen stops and large hotels and many office buildings, though it was an country area only the station was there in the past.

There is an international stadium that was used for the final game of the World Cup 2002. Also, one of the biggest Arena concert venue in Japan is there.

The city is still under development and is expanding more and more.

  • Shin Yokohama Ramen Museum


    You can enjoy ramens from all over Japan, some ramens come from overseas, and you can experience the history of Ramen.

  • Yokohama Arena


    Yokohama Arena is one of the most famous venue in Japan for concerts, events, exhibitions.
    Many big artists in Japan/ from all over the world are making great performances here.
